MyPooTime Privacy Policy

What MyPooTime keeps, where it keeps it, and the choices you have. Last updated 31 October 2026.

Who we are

MyPooTime is made by RB-Ventures LLC ("we", "us"). We are responsible for this app.

The short version

  • Your data stays on your phone.
  • There is no account and no sign-in.
  • This version sends nothing to us. We have no server for it.
  • There are no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting.
  • Your phone's own Google backup can include your progress.
  • You can export your progress to a file, import it again, or erase it.

What the app keeps on your phone

MyPooTime saves these things on your phone only:

  • Your sessions. When each session started and ended, how long it lasted, and your time zone.
  • Your progress. Your streak, streak freezes, points, badges, daily challenges, game scores, and the avatars you unlocked.
  • Your Poofile. The avatar you wear, a mood you pick from a list, a short status line you write (up to 80 characters), and a country, if you choose one. Nobody else can see these in this version.
  • Your settings. Reminders and quiet hours, sounds, haptics, motion, and similar choices.
  • Your age group. One of: under 13, 13–15, 16–17, or 18 and over.
  • Two random IDs. The app makes them up when you install it. They are not your phone's hardware ID or advertising ID.
  • A random security key. The app makes it on your phone. It signs your export file, so the app can tell the file was not changed.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or location. The app does not ask for location permission.

The age question

When you first open the app, it asks for the month and year you were born.

  • The app works out your age group from your answer, then throws the month and year away.
  • Only the age group is saved.
  • If you are under 13, the app also keeps the month you turn 13. That stays on the phone and is not part of any backup.

Backups by Google

Android can back up app data to your Google account. This is your own backup. Google runs it under its own terms, and we cannot read it.

  • Your sessions, progress, Poofile and settings (including your age group) can be part of this backup. Your phone may also copy them to a new phone when you move.
  • The security key is never part of an unencrypted backup. It reaches Google's cloud only encrypted with your screen lock: through Google Play services' Block Store (Android 9 or later, with a screen lock set), and on Android 9 to 11 also through your Android backup when that backup is encrypted with your screen lock. On Android 8, and on Android 12 and later, it is never part of the Android backup. Without a screen lock it stays on your phone, and it only moves when you transfer to a new phone.
  • You can turn Android backup off in your phone's settings.

Export, import and sharing

  • Export saves your progress to a file you choose: mypootime-progress-<date>.json.gz. The file holds your full history in the app (sessions, points, badges, challenges, game results, Studio unlocks), your Poofile choices (avatar, mood, status line, country), one of the two random IDs, your time zone, technical clock details the app uses to check its own timekeeping (your phone's restart count and time since restart), and the public half of your security key, which lets the app check the file's signature. It never contains the security key itself or your age group. You decide where it goes.
  • Import reads a file you pick.
  • Share creates a card for your Poofile, a joke, a fact or your weekly recap. It shows your avatar and stats, never a name. It also has a link to our website. It goes only to the app you pick in your phone's share menu.

We never see these files or cards unless you send them to us.

Notifications

All notifications come from the app on your phone. None are sent from a server. They are:

  • the session timer
  • the automatic end of a session
  • your daily reminder
  • a streak-at-risk warning
  • the weekly recap

The app asks for notification permission once, at your first session. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings or in your phone's settings.

Permissions the app uses

  • Notifications. For the reminders above.
  • Run at startup. So reminders still work after your phone restarts.
  • Network state. Only to know whether your phone is online.
  • Internet. Comes from a map library that this version does not use. The app itself makes no connection to us.
  • Keep awake briefly. Comes from the Android library that updates the home-screen streak widget, so an update can finish. It does not keep your screen on.

Ads, analytics and purchases

  • This version shows no ads. It contains no ad software and does not use your advertising ID.
  • There is no analytics and no crash reporting.
  • Nothing is for sale in this version.

Children

Anyone can use MyPooTime, including children under 13.

  • We receive nothing from children under 13. Their data stays on their phone.
  • For users under 13 the app hides every offer to buy something.
  • When ads arrive (see below), users under 13 will only get ads made for children, rated for all ages, and not based on what they do.
  • A parent can delete a child's data on the phone at any time: Settings → Data → Erase data on this phone.
  • Parents can contact us at support@rbv-studio.com.

Deleting your data

Go to Settings → Data → Erase data on this phone. This deletes:

  • your sessions, progress, Poofile and settings;
  • your age group and, for users under 13, the month you turn 13;
  • the security key and its Block Store copy. If Google Play services cannot be reached, the app keeps retrying that delete and never uses the old key again.

The last share card you made stays in the app's temporary cache until you share again or Android clears the cache.

There is no account, so there is nothing else for us to delete.

Your Google backup is replaced the next time Android backs up the app. To remove it sooner, delete the app's backup in your phone's Google backup settings. When you uninstall, Android may ask whether to keep the app's data. If you say no, its files are removed from the phone. If you say yes, they stay on the phone until you uninstall again or clear the app's storage. Google Play services may keep the Block Store copy of the security key, so that a reinstall can find it again. To delete that copy too, use Erase data on this phone before you uninstall.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, at support@rbv-studio.com. In this version we hold no data about you, because everything stays on your phone.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top. We will tell you in the app before any change that sends data off your phone.
